Fragrance Scrub 250ml
Fragrance Scrub 250ml
Ingredient List
Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoisothionate, Polawax, Soybean Oil, Polysorbate 80, Shea Butter, Liquid Germal Plus, Aqua, Sugar,
This formulation is well-balanced for a gentle yet effective exfoliating experience:
Smooth, Renewed Skin: Sugar granules physically exfoliate, removing dead skin cells to reveal softer, brighter skin. Sugar is also non-toxic to aquatic life.
Non-Stripping Cleanse: The combination of Cocamidopropyl Betaine + SCI creates a rich, creamy lather that cleans without stripping natural oils.
Deep Hydration: Glycerin + Shea Butter + Soybean Oil provide both immediate (humectant) and long-lasting (emollient) moisture. Your skin won't feel tight after rinsing.
No Greasy Residue: Polysorbate 80 ensures that the oils and butters rinse cleanly, leaving softness without a slippery film on the shower floor.
Stable & Gentle: Polawax creates a stable emulsion, meaning the scrub won't separate into an oily mess. The formula is generally safe for sensitive skin (though patch test first).
Warnings
Because this is a physical scrub and contains preservatives & surfactants:
For External Use Only. Do not ingest.
Avoid Eye Area: Sugar granules and surfactants can cause eye irritation. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with cool water.
Do Not Use on Broken or Irritated Skin: Open wounds, rashes, sunburn, or active acne should not be scrubbed.
Slip Hazard: Sugar and oils can make shower/bath surfaces very slippery. Rinse the floor/tub after use to prevent falls.
Patch Test First: Even though ingredients are generally mild, some people may be sensitive to Cocamidopropyl Betaine (a known but uncommon allergen) or Liquid Germall Plus (formaldehyde-releasing preservative).
Sugar Grit: Do not scrub aggressively. Over-exfoliation can damage the skin barrier, causing redness and sensitivity.
Pregnancy/Nursing: Generally considered safe for external use, but consult a doctor if you have specific concerns (no known contraindications for topical exfoliation).
Not for Face (unless specified): Body scrubs often have larger sugar granules than facial scrubs. Use a dedicated facial scrub for delicate facial skin.
Allergies: Avoid if allergic to soy (soybean oil) or tree nuts (shea butter is generally non-allergenic but proceed with caution).
How to Use
Frequency:
Normal skin: 2–3 times per week.
Dry or sensitive skin: 1–2 times per week (or less).
Oily or thick skin (e.g., back, feet): Up to 4 times per week.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Prep: In the shower or bath, wet your skin thoroughly with warm water (this softens dead skin cells for better exfoliation).
Scoop: Using clean fingers or a spatula, scoop out a small amount (about 1–2 tablespoons for full body).
Apply & Scrub Gently: Massage onto damp skin in small, circular motions. Use light pressure – let the sugar do the work.
Order: Start at your feet and work upward toward the heart to promote circulation.
Avoid: Face, eyes, and any irritated areas.
Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse off with warm water. You will feel a light, non-greasy moisturizing film – this is the shea butter and polysorbate working.
Pat Dry: Gently pat skin dry with a towel (do not rub aggressively).
Moisturize (Optional but recommended): Follow with your favorite lotion or body butter to lock in hydration.
